Nexans is a global leader of cable systems member of the CAC Mid 60 stock index, with an industrial presence in over 40 countries, over 28 500 employees and sales of around €7.7 billion per year. The group announced it will reengineer its model by end 2024 to specialize on “electrification” while separating “non-electrification” activities into a standalone company destined to champion industrial applications:
“Electrification” activities include cable systems over the electrification value chain defined as Generation & Transmission (i.e. power transmission from generation area to the power network) and Distribution & Usage (i.e. power transmission to the homes) “Non-electrification” activities include cable systems for industrial applications and cable harnesses for the automotive industry
Once carved out, the Non-Electrification company will amount to €1.8+ billion sales split in 4 Business Units across 15+ countries (40+ sites, 16 700 HC) with exposure to multifaceted dynamics and burgeoning industrial cable market fueled by mobility, digitalization, and energy transition:
i) Transport & Energy (e.g. Shipbuilding, Rolling Stock), Wind and Industrial Automation, ii) Resources (e.g. mining), iii) Aerospace and Medical iv) Automotive (Harnesses)
Our Strategy & Transformation team is in charge of defining the Equity Story of this newly formed group and driving its transformation. We are looking for a Strategy & Transformation Project Manager to manage these upcoming challenging projects!
Purpose of the position
The purpose of the Project Manager position is to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company, both during and after its separation from Nexans. She/he is a key contributor to the separation, due diligence processes and project management. The position is strongly exposed to C-level management and Excom
Areas of responsibility
• Define and execute Equity Story along with company Excom and CEO (direct report to an Excom Member)
• Contribute to the successful spin-off from Nexans, driving proactively upcoming M&A processes (vendor / acquirer due diligences, etc.) and ensuring quality of deliverables from third parties (consultancies, auditors, banks, lawyers, etc.)
• Project management to drive group transformation, through rigorous follow up and transversal cooperation with multidisciplinary teams at a broad range of levels within the organization
• Manage relationship with external stakeholders (investors, investment banks, consulting firms)
• Build up analyses & associated syntheses to enable decision making covering a broad range of topics such as:
• Create & present to C-level synthesis and action plan follow up material

• Key change agent in the transformation of Non-Electrification BUs and its Equity Story definition
• Strong strategic analysis with efficient time management
• Effective project management and close coordination with operational teams
• Seamless communication building-up synthetic presentations, results and project updates
Skills and qualifications
BAC +5, Engineer or Business School Fluent French and English Excellent written and oral communication skills ; can easily convey messages in a concise way Excellent synthesis and presentation skills Motivated, self-driven, interested in learning new concepts and ideas Willingness to working in a fast-paced environment Problem solver, good ability to analyze issues, break problems down in a structured way, and draw insights Impact oriented, has self-drive to identify key issues/root causes and develop solutions Strong interpersonal skills combined with strong communication skills: able to influence and convince her/his audience Strong ability to cooperate cross functionally A first experience in strategy consulting or within a group strategy function, investment bank, audit / transaction services is a plus An interest to work in industrial environment is a plus
