Job DescriptionThe Credit Settlement Risk (CSR) function is accountable for managing and mitigating the credit and settlement risk for Visa Europe Limited (VEL). The objective is to manage an appropriate risk versus reward balance, keeping within Board approved risk appetite. The function provides technical subject matter expert advice and support to the European business side of Visa and deals directly with clients on credit settlement risk topics.
The Europe CSR function is split into two areas: a first line credit portfolio and client engagement team, and a more second line strategy, reporting and analytics team. The Strategy, Reporting & Analytics Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day reporting and analytics duties and execution of the collateral management strategy for the Europe CSR team, working closely with Global CSR on all of these areas alongside system and model enhancement.
What we expect of you, day to day
Adhering to the CSR Framework, procedures, policy standards and controlsEffective management of regular reporting workstack, ensuring the timely production and distribution of reporting to a consistently high standardLeading the development of the CSR Europe Controls framework including review and updates to policies, procedures and risk registersProactive identification and development of CSR processes to continuously drive efficiency, effectiveness and resilienceSupporting strategic projects to enhance credit settlement risk management, such as:Generative AIRisk versus reward strategy and frameworksFinancial risk management frameworksData analytics, modelling, and systems capabilityManagement Information enhancementsSupporting Regulatory and Internal Audit requirementsSupporting CSR Strategy & Analytics Analysts with individual workstacks and personal developmentChampioning optimal use of all CSR systems and lead of development of enhancements partnering with global and regional counterpartsAny other ad hoc duties as required by the CSR Senior Leadership TeamThis is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
QualificationsStrong understanding and experience of risk management practices in financial servicesExperience in working in a financial or payments institutionStrong understanding of credit risk control and governance frameworks in a regulated financial or payments institutionExperience in preparing, reviewing and delivering analytical papers to senior leadershipStrong time management and prioritisation skills.Knowledge of the UK and wider European payments and / or financial services industry and the major trends affecting key stakeholders, including theregulatory, political and market environment, payment products and services, economic and competitive landscape, technology and the rising threat of data breaches.Knowledge and experience of Visa Europe payment system, its governance principles, and Visa Europe’s compliance frameworkFluent in English (verbal and written).Proficient with Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word and OutlookAdditional InformationVisa is an EEO Employer.
