Software Development Intern

As an intern in Siemens EDA division, you will work on developing C++ programs and script files to enhance functionality and quality of the software that runs on Siemens Emulation products. Siemens EDA enables companies to develop better electronic products faster and more cost-effectively. Our innovative products and solutions help engineers conquer design challenges in the increasingly complex worlds of board and chip design.

You will be working in a team that provides visibility for every signal in the circuit designs under verification by extracting, manipulating, and modeling the data from emulator. Your work will be mostly in C++ on Linux. Occasionally you will write system level tests in Verilog/VHDL that use software simulation tools. While you will work with general supervision of senior engineers on complex projects, it will also be important to be able to work independently and make design judgment when necessary. We are looking for candidates who share a passion for tackling complex problems and developing innovative solutions.

Projects will include:

·       Developing tests in Verilog that increases coverage for Siemens Emulator visibility software

·       Developing interactive debug tools in C++ that helps engineers to support customers faster and more efficiently

·       Assist in maintaining our existing software product

·       Improve software error messages to be more informative to the customers

Organization Requirements:

Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldExperience with developing and debugging in C/C++Experience with algorithm and data structure design.Understanding of gate level digital logic design.Knowledge of scripting languages.Experience in software development tools (Git, gdb, etc.).Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel PowerPoint)Passionate, driven, and proactiveStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective organizational and time management skills  Desire to continuously improve and learn about new areasInspires collaboration
