Strategic Sourcing Manager

Additionally, in 2024 we were awarded the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, which recognizes the most engaged workplace cultures in the world._ **Strategic Sourcing Manager – Carmel, IN** Lead a commodity sourcing team responsible for manufactured product across a variety of commodity categories; Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), wire harnesses, motors & drives, plastics, electro-mechanical assembly, etc.) and provide daily management and support to them for the Americas business regions. + Lead the development and execution of comprehensive commodity strategies that exceed both short term and long-term business goals. + Be accountable for all commercial negotiations and supplier selections within assigned commodity families. + Manage strategic suppliers through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process and accountable for managing supplier performance (KPIs) and supplier risk across all responsible commodities. + Engage and collaborate with NPD Procurement teams to support new product development (NPD). **What You Will Do:** + Align with functional stakeholders across region to incorporate product and manufacturing strategies into commodity strategies while gaining leadership support + Provide daily leadership and management and support to commodity team members while continually developing and expanding individual and team capabilities + Accountable for supplier performance via supplier risk and performance scorecards, supplier watch lists, managing supplier escalations, and developing performance improvement plans aligned with Operations and Business objectives and strategies + Lead commodity team members to collect and analyze commodity and market data, and develop and execute comprehensive commodity playbook strategies that exceed both short term and long term KPIs + Accountable for all commercial negotiations and supplier selections within commodities + Identify opportunities for consolidation of suppliers to improve the supply chain design and maximize scale and cost optimization + Partner with regional functional teams to ensure delivery of cost productivity, improved payment terms, and improved supplier quality and delivery + Responsible for management of strategic suppliers through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to improve supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, productivity, and innovation + Engage with NPD Procurement teams to support new product development (NPD) and new technology introduction (NTI), through preferred supplier and SRM programs + Accountable for team reporting and managing of commodity inflation, both mitigation and recovery **What You Need to Succeed:** + Ability to travel up to 33% internationally + Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field + 10+ years of increasing responsibility in the areas of Strategic Sourcing, Materials Management, Operations, Quality, Engineering, or related field, including supervisory experience preferred + ​Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel (e.g., excel pivot tables, macros, etc.) and PowerPoint  + Strong business acumen and analytical thinking, as well as supplier management and contract negotiation experience + Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence at all levels of the organization + Must be a strategic thinker and have demonstrated experience driving strategies and projects + Experience in the development and management of a global supply base is preferred + Experience managing multiple electronic manufacturing service providers + Experience developing supply chain analytic tools, ERP, GEP, etc. **Why Work for Us?** **Allegion is a Great Place to Grow your Career if:** + You're seeking a rewarding opportunity that allows you to truly help others.
