Strategic Sales Executive
Location: Costa Mesa, CA preferred; position is hybrid with both remote and in-office expectations.

The Strategic Sales Executive is responsible for new business acquisition within large group business segment 100-5,000 employees and provides expert consultative and strategic employee benefit sales knowledge to groups, with a thorough understanding of client and company objectives.
How you will make an impact:
Achieves new business target for multiple lines of coverage- medical, dental, vision and supplemental health products- through expert execution of sales process.Cultivates deep trust-based relationships with brokers and consultants and develops comprehensive understandings of their client needs and priorities.Acts as a consultative collaborative partner with brokers, consultants, and key decision makers.Develops strategic business plans to address broker and client needs.Conducts broker, agency, and client education on pertinent topics and anticipates potential client needs related to these topics.Acts as the lead in coordinating internal partners to meet and exceed client expectations and drives opportunities for additional growth and product sales. Acts as an industry and product expert at the local, state, and federal level.Continuously updates knowledge in a rapidly changing environment.Able to provide coaching and technical leadership to other team members as a resource and may assist with on-boarding of new sales associates.Provides expert consultative and strategic sales knowledge to Large Group and/or Complex jumbo groups with a thorough understanding of client and company objectives. Able to provide coaching and technical leadership to other team members as a resource and may assist with on-boarding of new sales associates.Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 6 years of sales experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. CA Health and Life Insurance license required.Preferred skills, capabilities and experiences:
Salesforce experience preferred.Candidates that have established relationships with brokers/consultants in either San Diego or Orange County large group markets are preferred. Candidates that possess knowledge in all funding types including fully insured, self-funded and minimum premium are preferred.Previous experience selling medical and specialty lines of coverage preferred.Previous experience with employee benefits on either carrier, broker or consultant side preferred.Ability to travel 25% to San Diego/Orange County markets to procure business with our broker partners.For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $113,988 to $170,982.
