The SROG - Strategy and Projects Specialist reports directly to the Head of Strategic Remediation Oversight and Governance within the Global Regulatory Affairs function. They are responsible for supporting SROG strategy development and implementation through oversight and execution of key SROG initiatives and working with the SROG leadership team to implement key activities to support the strategic direction of the function. In addition, the Strategy and Projects Specialist provides project oversight and management support to high profile key strategic remediation programs, including identifying, monitoring, and reporting; resource management; management reporting; and communications.
The successful individual will play a significant role in providing thought leadership and challenge in relation to SROG strategy, structure, and execution and will establish and maintain strong relationships with other team members and stakeholders across the organization.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Strategy Development and Implementation
Working closely with SROG leadership establish the SROG strategy including establishment of appropriate strategic goals, outcome measurements and alignment with overall corporate objectives.Build a program of work to ensure the SROG strategic goals are met, maintained, and constantly refreshed.Provide ongoing support, monitoring, reporting, resource assessment and communications (internal and external) to ensure the program of work is executed in a manner that demonstrates strategic goals have been met.Establish and develop strong working relationships and open communication with key team and organizational stakeholders.Project Oversight and Management
Engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure SROG activities are appropriately represented and built into relevant strategic remediation plans.Project manage certain high profile strategic remediation programs including working closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to develop and build a program structure and plan, prioritize and drive program execution working to support the agreed remediation outcomes, establish key performance indicators, establish a reporting and communication approach, organize and chair meetings, maintain knowledge of, and report on, project or program issues, risks, and dependencies, escalate issues and update management and relevant groups as appropriateThe successful candidate will benefit from having:
A college or university degree10+ yrs. experience in financial servicesPrevious strategic initiative design and execution experienceStrong analytical, leadership, and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and demonstrate flexibility to change plans at short notice.Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms, with all levels of staff and management. Demonstrate strong initiative and people skills, sound decision-making, analytical and intuitive mind-sets, and sensitivity to cultural diversity.Experience successfully leading global projects.Strong understanding of project management principles in relation to people, systems, and processesSolid understanding of risk management and control concepts in a financial services environmentInterest and aptitude for identifying problems of varying complexity and developing sound and actionable solutions within given constraints.Ability to manage through critical issues and realign priorities and deliverables as needed.Ability to operate as part of global teams across multiple, complex efforts.Ability to form evaluative judgment(s) based on analysis of information in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations.#LI-LK2, #LI-Hybrid
