At Nexans, our Purchasing team plays a vital role in securing the materials and services that power our production and innovation. We support the PWR G&C Business Group by delivering smart, sustainable, and cost-efficient procurement solutions. Based in Grimsås, Sweden, our team works closely with production, R&D, and supply chain functions to drive operational excellence and long-term value. As we continue to evolve and strengthen our supply capabilities, we’re now looking for a Strategic Purchaser to join our growing team.

GETTING A FLYING START

In this role, you will be a key driver in developing and implementing sourcing strategies that support Nexans’ performance, innovation, and sustainability goals. You will manage supplier relationships, lead negotiations, and contribute to cross-functional projects that ensure reliable, cost-effective supply. Working with both local and international stakeholders, your efforts will directly influence our procurement efficiency and help us meet the challenges of tomorrow.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Build and lead sourcing strategies that deliver value across cost, quality, and sustainability. Negotiate supplier agreements and manage contracts with a focus on total cost of ownership. Collaborate with production, R&D, and other departments to align procurement with business needs. Monitor supplier performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct market and risk analyses to identify opportunities and ensure reliable supply.

YOUR STARTING POINTS WHEN YOU JOIN

A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field. 5–7 years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial context. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with a track record of cost savings. Good understanding of technical products, materials, and production processes. Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
