Strategic Pricing Administrator

**Description**
As a member of the New Business Intake Department, the Strategic Pricing Administrator works closely with the Strategic Pricing Manager to develop pricing strategies to support the Firm’s strategic and profitability goals and client needs.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Work with Pricing Team Leadership in developing appropriate fee arrangements, including scope and assumptions, staffing, and phases of engagement.
+ Monitor performance of budgets, fee estimates, and alternative fee arrangements to recommend corrective actions and assist with execution.
+ Monitor performance to reduce write-downs, write-offs, and other necessary reductions. Propose actionable steps to when needed.
+ Conduct and develop post-engagement and historical analysis to gain insights into future pricing engagements.
+ Provide analysis, reporting, and recommendations in support of pricing and legal project management strategies and initiatives.
+ Collaborate with leadership to develop tools and processes to enhance the pricing and legal project management capabilities and functionality at the firm.
+ Manage the proforma queue to support the billing team to ensure invoices are created promptly.
+ Assist with the implementation of exception rates into 3E.
+ Provide support to attorneys, billing specialists, billing coordinators, ebilling specialists and staff regarding exception rates
**ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Ad hoc analysis, reports, projects, and other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):**
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics is required. Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
**Experience:**
+ A minimum of 5 years or experience in accounting, pricing, or financial analysis. Experience within the large law firm or professional service firm sector a plus.
**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:**
+ Outstanding accounting, analytical, and mathematical skills. Strong attention to detail; high level of accuracy a must.
+ Strong problem-solving skills with focus on getting to the root of issues, both technical and process related and executing appropriate solutions.
+ Attention to detail and accuracy is imperative.
+ Extensive experience financial modelling, maintaining complex spreadsheets.
+ High level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization.
+ Strong working knowledge of Elite / 3E or other law firm accounting software preferred.
+ Experience with matter management / profitability tools.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Access and PowerPoint.
+ Must have superior presentation, written and verbal communication as well as the ability to be proactive in tailoring communications effectively for different groups and stakeholders. Working professional standards of tact, discretion, and positive attitude.
+ Strong organizational and project management skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task with a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
**VISUAL ACUITY**
Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
