Strategic Planning Manager
Strategic Planning Facilitation (Position based In Saudi Arabia)
Check with all departments to ensure strategy and overall plans for the company's functions are properly aligned, paying close attention to prioritization of plans across departments to reflect management objectives.
Analyze completeness and cogency of plans, ensuring all items are addressed (e.g., resource requirements, people skills, systems, etc.) to ensure alignment with company methodology and coherence and consistency.
Consolidate the strategic and operation plans across departments to ensure a coherent and consistent basis for the yearly Capex and Opex budgets.
Prepare strategy review meetings for the Board
ŸBuild a network of department planning functions to enhance mutual understanding and shared knowledge.

Strategic Planning Process
ŸDevelop and constantly update the company's planning manual and issue new releases when appropriate to ensure consistent set of assumptions, guidelines and time schedules are used across all departmental planning activities
ŸManage ongoing improvements to planning methodologies and tools, and hold workshops for spreading knowledge on use of such tools and methodologies to ensure that the interfaces across relevant stakeholders are well defined.
ŸMonitor strategies and best practices in other companies, especially competitors, to derive lessons learn and adjust for new competitive dynamics.

Performance Management
ŸEnsure that performance targets are defined in accordance with the strategic plan to identify any emerging issues/gaps and develop mitigation measures.
ŸEnsure that formulae and data collection requirements for measuring targets are well defined and correctly embedded into the overall business performance management system (e.g. Balanced Scorecard, ERP system) to efficiently automate data collection and management reporting functions.

Staff and Self Development
ŸPlan Workforce Development staff needs (competency development, recruiting needs and Career development), in
accordance with HR guidelines, and working closely with HR for transactional support.
ŸTake ownership of own career and skill development by constantly maintaining and increasing subject matter expertise in both general and required specialization areas, working closely with direct reports.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Qualifications:
University degree in Engineering with background in finance.

Experience:
5 years’ experience in the steel industry including operations planning activities.
Strong planning and performance management experience.

Skills:
Excellent technical knowledge of steel industry.
Understanding of financial and management issues and company processes.
Good understanding of stakeholder management and communication philosophy.
Ability to maintain focus on long-term strategic objectives in light of immediate operational requirements.
