Strategic Planning Analyst
As a Strategic Planning Analyst at Micron Technology, Inc, you will be responsible to build and publish Micron’s monthly Operations (OP) plan in accordance with corporate strategies and priorities. This plan must be optimized across various constraints and priorities of Global Operations, Business Units, Corporate Strategy, and Finance.
You will be the primary interface between Manufacturing, Demand Management, Business Operations, Product Lifecycle, Engineering, and Operations Planning organization throughout each Operations Planning cycle. You will be responsible for translating manufacturing capability and roadmap into Sellable Supply that respects WoS targets and create and publishes a feasible manufacturing plan that aligns to constrained demand. You will also be responsible for working with all BU stakeholders and demand planners to summarize and communicate changes in the unconstrained consensus inputs, coordinating any modifications to the demand inputs needed to support scenario analysis, and ensuring the overall accuracy and alignment to strategic objectives of the constrained demand signal prior to final plan publication internally.
You will also support transformation initiatives, process improvement projects and activities, and build and drive improvement to overall OP process efficiency and effectiveness.
This position will be directly, driving alignment towards the company’s financial, market and operations strategy which is recognized by all organizations.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Internally publish 3-year manufacturing plan, sellable supply, and inventory plansHighlight and drive resolution to planning issues associated with compiling the OP Plan that include: excess and shortage to projected inventory targets; gaps between roadmap strategy, manufacturing capability, and market demandsPartner with Global Operations and Strategic Supply Planning to develop factory network and loading strategiesCollaborate with Global Operations to analyze and publish updates internally to manufacturing boundary conditions and their impacts to Micron's revenue planRoot cause gaps between supply capability and bottoms up supply/demand matchBuild, solve, and communicate internally impacts of various what-if scenarios for executive approvalCollaborate with Finance to analyze consolidated revenue, margin, and capex impacts of plan changesDrive improvement to process effectiveness and efficiency metricsCollaborate with GSM, Manufacturing, R&D, Product engineering teams to collect and analyze impact of yield, quality, technology adjustments, and roadmap changesIdentify process inefficiencies/conflicts, and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement efforts to address the gapsEnsure forecast updates are completed accurately and in accordance with published deadlines Ensure the unconstrained and constrained consensus inputs are aligned with established business unit targets and objectivesHighlight and review key changes in the unconstrained demand forecast and supporting assumptionsOptimize constrained consensus across various constraints and priorities of Global Operations, Sales, Business Units, Corporate Strategy and FinanceCollaborate with Micron demand planers, sales and operations planners, and BU stakeholders to understand demand priorities, risks and opportunities, and business impactsServe as the single point of contact for final internal publication of the constrained consensus forecastRepresent business unit strategies and objectives to facilitate shaping the supply responseLead or participate in reviews of the Operations planCollaborate with Demand Management and BUs to understand demand priorities & crafting, risks & opportunities, and business impactsUnderstand the interaction of Supply Chain technology solutions associated applications used within Micron (i.e. LPI, SPO/CTM, Rapid Response, CALM, Tableau, Hana, APO-DP, etc) and collaborate with partners in Supply Chain and IT drive technology improvementsPartner with solutions and master data teams to develop and implement system and process control methods (audits, training, metrics, reference material, etc.)The specified role does not encompass the following responsibilities: Finalization of sales agreements or the execution of sales contracts is prohibited.
