Strategic Planning Advisor
Job Summary Responsible for identifying, measuring, analyzing, planning and developing recommendations for and leading implementation of key System business and growth opportunities. Partners with System leadership in developing and executing growth strategies, tactics and plans. Identifies and develops relationships to aide in geographic expansion that will strengthen value to service lines. Evaluates competitors, market and industry and makes recommendations for traditional and non-traditional new business ventures, lines of business and/or improvements to existing services. Serves as an expert resource to senior management. Ensures consistency and synergy in operational processes and systems; develops standard metrics to be used in benchmarking plans. Networks with internal and external partners displaying good analytical, deduction, presentation and problem-solving skills. Essential Functions + Responsible for learning, coordinating and supporting all Certificate of Need (C.O.N.) requirements for Corewell Health, including: + formulating strategies, gathering information and completing C.O.N. applications to secure state approvals for facilities, services and equipment* + following up on all approved C.O.N.’s to ensure proper implementation reporting and ongoing compliance with the terms of C.O.N.’s* + Coordinating all aspects of C.O.N. annual surveys including data collection, auditing, and submission of surveys* + participating in the State’s administrative and political processes to add, delete or modify C.O.N. standards for clinical services* + assisting Corewell Health leadership in forming policy positions on all aspects of C.O.N.* + keeping Corewell Health leadership informed on competitor C.O.N. projects that could impact the organization and the communities it serves + Identifies, recommends, develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing traditional and non-traditional economic and clinical partners to create new business ventures, services, extend geographic reach, open up new markets and grow market share. + Partners with, and provides consult to, System, Delivery System and Service Line Leadership in developing and executing growth strategies and tactical plans that strengthen System, Delivery System and Service Line market value and share. + Mentors and supports service line embedded Senior Specialists, Business Development. + Identifies, measures, analyzes and plans implementation of System business and growth opportunities. + Starts-up, operates and incubates new business ventures. Qualifications Required + Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, in business administration and/or medical administration + Experience building effective teams, especially in a “matrixmanagement” setting.
