Strategic Insights Director- Immunology
Site Name: Philadelphia Walnut Street, Durham Blackwell Street, UK – London – New Oxford Street Posted Date: Sep 30 2024 As a Strategic Insights Director within our Global Strategic Insights Team, you will be a trusted and independent partner to the Global Product Strategy Teams, bringing an unbiased view and broader perspective of the opportunities for both our brands and our disease areas. This global role has lead accountability for our Immunology portfolio which is entering an exciting phase of its’ life cycle through the launch of new indications and the challenge of new competitors entering the market. In addition, this role will provide strategic insight support to assess potential business development opportunities. As the Strategic Insight Director, you will manage global market research projects to uncover deep customer insights and develop forecasts to ensure that robust evidence-based insight is available for key decision points to optimize the life-cycle management opportunity for the therapy area. Demonstrating a strategic mindset, you will build trusted relationships with senior commercial leaders and colleagues in the priority global markets. Job Responsibilities: Develop robust, evidence-based global market valuations and forecasts to support life-cycle ambition for immunology through development milestones and governance decision points in GSK Oversees and guides development and integration of industry-leading customer insight and analytics helping the organization to frame business problems and opportunities to shape future-proofed strategies and drive performance, in line with the Integrated Asset Plan (IAP) Drives strong decision making and able to challenge the business and senior stakeholders with robust insight and evidence generation Acts as a trusted and independent strategic partner to drive data-driven strategies and decisions Model and foster collaboration with multiple stakeholders beyond the Global Product Strategy team, including R&D, finance, market access and our priority global markets Owns and drives the global KPI program to maximize opportunities and performance Lead input for internal brand planning and development processes by contributing evidence based situational analyses, forecasts, defining appropriate pre- and post-launch KPIs Contribute to initiatives to improve the quality of market / brand understanding and forecasting through analogue and benchmarking exercises based on secondary data and competitor intelligence. Contribute to the training and development of our offshore partner to ensure it is optimized to deliver maximum value and on-time delivery Ensure all market insight and activities are conducted in an ethical way and according to relevant Codes of Conduct. Why You? Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Areas of specialism: Life Science, Business or Marketing Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare, in pharmaceutical (medical or marketing background), market research agency, management consultancy or financial institution Proven application of high-quality commercial analytics and ability to provide insightful commercial and market insight Ability to travel ~ 10 -15% globally. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree Experience of Specialty/Immunology therapy area Proven ability in asset and portfolio forecasting Demonstrated strategic thinking and proven ability to influence senior stakeholders Thorough conceptual understanding of the drug development and commercialization process. Experienced in a global matrix environment, able to drive impact across a range of functions, seniority, and geographical locations.
