As a Strategic Global Sourcing (SGS) intern at Cencora, you’ll be provided the opportunity to leverage your academic understanding in a real-world, business driven environment. Ultimately, we aim to develop the future leaders necessary to enable our growth within an accelerated period of time. During our 10-week summer program, you will work closely with a mentor while gaining experience leading teams and learning different business areas and functions within SGS. At the end of the summer, our interns report out to their Leadership Team on key accomplishments and learnings from their internship experience. Interns are expected to be onsite at one of our distribution centers in the Brooks Specialty location.
 

Below are some of the activities in which you can expect to participate.

Gain understanding of Strategic Global Sourcing and the role it plays in CencoraReceive opportunities to build affiliation with team members, associate peers and interact with senior leadershipAssist in the analysis and development of business process relating to the launch of Cencora Global ProcurementReport findings to other team members and management as requiredExperience building and implementing standard operating procedures to support business priorities and tasksWork on projects and gain experience in financial modelingOrganize and facilitate internal/external meetingsActively participate in internship program training activities, developmental opportunities, and eventsDevelop interpersonal and communication skills to successfully lead a frontline workgroupDemonstrate willingness to learn and take risks; step out of comfort zone and take on new assignmentsGain understanding of all business areas to develop business acumenFoster an inclusive, diverse, safe, and secure cultureCarry out duties and responsibilities by department through internship rotations as trained

Requirements:

Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in:Finance, Strategy, Operations/Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Organizational Leadership & Supervision, or Business Management (other related majors will be considered)Must not require sponsorship to work in the US now or in the future

Minimum Skills Required:
