You will be responsible for driving and implementing cross-functional cost objectives and plans to achieve project cost targets aligning with strategic objectives. You will work with a team of category analysts and customers across Micron’s global site, working collaboratively to ensure Micron meets current profitability objectives and achieves future cost-down aspirations. You will collaborate with various sourcing and engineering teams, finance, site leaders and other collaborators. You will standardize cost analysis practices and reporting used to set project cost objectives and targets. You will also establish cost savings methodologies and frameworks to integrate into business practices. You will drive key internal metrics, evaluate construction market conditions, trends, supply & demand challenges, and other pertinent construction dynamics.

As a Strategic Cost Program Manager – Construction at Micron Technology, your key responsibilities will be as follow:
Cost Objectives and Planning: Develop and handle comprehensive cost control strategies for construction projects to achieve overall construction project cost targets. Performance Tracking: Drive program metrics and develop key indicators and objectives to measure and monitor cost performance.Executive Reporting: Regularly report out on project status, lead risks, and implement solutions to implementation.Cross-Functional Project Collaboration: Lead engagement with cross-functional teams to identify project cost opportunities that enhance competitiveness and ensure successful project execution. Facilitate conceptualisation and evaluation sessions across different functionsFramework Development: Create and implement a framework for continuous improvement in construction cost analysis, ensuring driven cost negotiations for Procurement Category teams. Trend Analysis: Identify and analyze any cost irregularities and trends.Relationship Building: Champion strong relationships with team members across the company (e.g., Procurement, Facilities Construction, Finance, Operations) to ensure overall project success. Data Collaboration Partnering: Work with business analytics and smart manufacturing teams to develop tools for maintaining, tracking, and reporting key cost data to drive decision-making.Provide Insights: Offer insights on procurement cost-related aspects, including systems, processes, competitiveness benchmarking, and opportunities. Change management: Implement organizational change management methods and tools to increase the speed of adoption and bring together project or program return of investment.Critical thinking: Ability to exercise judgment and adapt accordingly to encourage and persuade others to adopt the change required for a successful implementation of the program.What Sets You Apart:

Minimum 5+ years of validated experience in program management, cost management, cost controls, business analytics, particularly in Semiconductor / Cleanroom / Hospital / Pharmaceutical-related projectsBachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Operations or a related fieldPMP, Scrum Master or related Project Management certifications preferredProficiency in Microsoft applications, data analysis, and experience with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, incorporating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and benchmarking concepts.Excellent communication, consulting, and presentation skills.Ability to work efficiently in a global and complementary team environmentAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
