The Boulder Site is home to the specialized technical operations/CMC team for oligonucleotides and RNAi therapeutics, continuing its legacy as the hub for all manufacturing-related activities for GalXC™ and GalXC-Plus™ investigational therapeutics developed from Novo Nordisk’s acquisition of Dicerna Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in December 2021. With a new laboratory completed in 2021 to support analytical and process development, the CMC team works alongside Quality, Regulatory, Technical Operations and RNAi Early Development professionals at our Boulder, Colorado facility and works closely with our teams in Lexington, Massachusetts. The Position
The Business Partner supports the VP Technical Operations GNAT CMC on business related matters. This includes operational and strategic tasks related to bridging the RNAi CMC Development strategies with local business plans, resources, and execution.
This allows for the following key responsibilities: Management support, Strategic anchor and Other cross-functional tasks in RNAi CMC.
The Strategic Business Partner is a full member of the RNAi CMC Development leadership team and can act as a substitute for the VP with regards to meetings and other activities.
Relationships
Reports to a VP Technical Operations GNAT CMC.
Key stakeholders include the GNAT Leadership Team, RNAi CMC VP Leadership Team, PS Leadership Team, GNAT Executive Office, GNAT Business Partners and PS Business Partners.
Essential Functions
Management Support Member of RNAi CMC leadership team Support day-to-day management/leadership related tasks, like sparring, investigating issues and aligning across VP area Contribute to ensuring that the RNAi CMC Development value chain is supported Continuously advise the VP and leadership team on change management, strategy implementation and optimizations Announcements and other communications to the VP area Keep overview and support balance of local FTE landscape Facilitate VP leadership teams on non-HR related matters Strategic Anchor Support the overall strategic agenda in the VP area Local anchor for the strategy planning process, ensuring the VP area strategies and organizational review are aligned with the RNAi CMC Development strategy Drives the strategic agenda, incl. an annual bottom-up processes in the VP area Where relevant provide input to strategic business plan Innovation and Change Proactively identify challenges and develop existing business models, methods and techniques Establish new or improved methods within field of expertise The Strategic Business Partner is expected to give input to and support the VP area way of working The Strategic Business Partner is a role model and assist the VP in setting direction for how to cope with change at the macro as well as micro level Other Areas of Responsibility It is the responsibility of the Strategic Business Partner to inspire the leadership team with practices from other functions than own CMC VP area and participate on behalf of the leadership team in settings within Novo Nordisk
Physical Requirements
Domestic and international travel required. Approximately 15% overnight travel.
Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of relevant experience, master’s degree with 7 years of experience, or a PhD with 4 years of experience required Experience in a general business support role, as a management consultant or business owner preferred Specific or technical job skills: Formal project management degree or high-level project management experience Solid business understanding of R&D and manufacturing environments (required) Proactive and analytical with solid communication & negotiation skills (required) Strong stakeholder management skills (required) Ability to conceptualize and drive implementation of selected initiatives and projects (required) Ability to handle high pressure and conflicting interests without stress (required) Result-oriented and able to pursue stretched targets from the beginning to the end (required) Works independently (required) English proficiency (required) Experience with implementation of LEAN principles (preferred)"The base compensation range for this position is $160,000 to $ 185,000. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
