Strategic Account Manager-West Coast

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the VP Strategic National Accts, the Strategic Accounts Manager, with dotted line to VP West Region & Lifestyle Channels, is someone who performs a variety of sales related duties targeted at designated Strategic Accounts and provides sales support in accordance with company policies and procedures. This is a NOT a supervisory position.


Responsibilities:

Sales Related:  

Be the main contact for and manage relationships with designated Strategic Accounts national offices. These will primarily be within the large club chain account segments.  Be an influential and supportive contact for other designated strategic accounts where the VP National Accounts or other Matrix executive may already be the primary contact. Strategic planning for growth of Matrix brand in other potential Strategic Accounts. Coordinate implementation of strategies and/or tactical execution with key stakeholders including VP of Strategic National Accounts, VP of Strategic Business Development and Executive VP of Sales.Monitor the new opportunities volume each month and total pipeline of all designated accounts opportunities Provide Product Management with product, market and customer feedback/information.Also, under direction of the VP West Region & Lifestyle Channels, perform “Field Manager” duties with a designated House Account.Regularly provide management with accurate reports. Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goalsFollow all related procedures & policiesAttend periodic industry trade shows which usually require travel

Education:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus additional training or education such as an associate’s degree with combination of experience requiredBachelor's degree preferred in relevant field preferred

Experience:

5+ years of industry experience as a proven producer requiredSales forecasting and reporting capability requiredWorking knowledge of the commercial fitness industry; dues paying facilities and/or vertical market requiredEstablished relationships with designated strategic accounts preferred.

Other Requirements:

Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer requiredSoftware experience with CRM (SFDC), Auto Sketch or similar preferredDriver's license required with acceptable motor vehicle record for extensive domestic travel for customer site visits, trade shows, sales meetings, etc.
