**Starting pay rate $25+/hr**

**Brief Summary**
The Storeroom Attendant is an individual contributor role who performs and oversees the receiving, issuing and movement of material accurately and efficiently throughout the plant through established procedures and coordinates through quality assurance material not conforming to Valmont specifications. This person works under the direction of Department Supervisor, but with minimum supervision and within the guidelines of established procedures. The employee supports the material control department with emphasis on inventory accuracy of the storeroom, the receiving of vendor and in process plate, and the issuing of material to manufacturing and outside operating sources.
**Essential Functions**
+ Performs audits within the storeroom and reports results to the supervisor.
+ Provides pertinent information for the dispatcher, leads, and supervisor for the orderly continuity and transition of the department effort.
+ May be required to work irregular hours.
+ Performs and oversees the receiving, issuing and movement of material
+ Coordinates quality assurance of the material
+ Maintain good housekeeping in the area exercising safety precautions in accordance with company policies
+ Take accurate precision measurements and occasionally use other gauges and dials when inspecting materials to assure that material meets Valmont’s specifications
+ Complete the paperwork for any product that is given out of the storeroom or inventory put into the storeroom
+ Assist with other functions within the department
**Important Details**
+ Measures, gauges, and inspects material per specifications.
+ Edits all issues and receipts for completeness, reasonableness, and accuracy.
+ May be required as needed to assist with functions in other department areas.
**Required Qualifications**
+ The ability to read and decipher blueprints, specifications, and bill of materials
+ The ability to pass a forklift driver’s test
+ The ability to prioritize work in order and complete deadlines
+ The ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
+ The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
+ The ability to work through and solve practical problems
**Highly Qualified**
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent
+ Previous experience working or maintaining a storeroom
+ One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
+ The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
