Our client is searching for an experienced Store Manager for their store based at Menlyn The ideal candidate should be a retail professional who possesses excellent communication skills with both customer and staff
Responsibilities and Duties
Achievement of sales and profit budgets by the effective ongoing management of store resources and procedures
Protection of all assets including stock cash physical assets staff and customers through effective implementation of company policies
Set daily weekly monthly sales and targets for all staff and evaluate performance in the achievement of budgets and take action where necessary
Ensure store layouts are in line with company standards
Customer service
Ensure correct administration procedures in respect of stock room and mark downs
Ensure effective merchandise replenishment and housekeeping
People management
Recruit develop guide staff to ensure customer friendly and efficient environment
Must be able to manage store
Must be able to achieve above average sales figures
Must be able to merchandise
Must be in a position to maintain asset control
Must be able to train other employees
Must be in a position to professionally conduct employee performance reviews
Must manage store security
Responsible for daily weekly monthly etc stock counts
Monitor and manage hours of work for permanent and casual employees
Minimum Requirements
3 to 5 years previous store management experience with a leading retailer and/or retail chain
Matric
Tertiary qualification would be advantageous
Customer service orientation
Strong management skills and Ability to develop subordinates
Ability to plan organize and control effectively
Working knowledge of budgets
Analytical ability
Attention to detail
Ability to communicate with people
