Stockroom Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for an expert Stockroom Supervisor who is eager to lead and grow with our company here at Emerson Discrete Automation. This role will report to the Operations Manager and will be Responsible for the planning and directing of employees in the stockroom area to increase safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and efficiency through effective utilization of processes and personnel. Advise the activities of assigned work group in a safe method and address concerns or issues in a timely manner.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE: 

Manage employees to improve stockroom goals to include label room, receiving, Navy & Nuclear and GC stockroom. Effectively communicate with assembly lines, scheduling and all supporting departments to meet customer needs. Enforce organization, cleanliness, quality and productivity of department and assigned personnel. Oversee stockroom inventory to include daily transactions and regular cycle counts. Conduct monthly department meetings and any regulatory training as required Responsible to manage a group of employees to maintain department standards in efficiency and productivity. Maintain accurate inventory of production tools, fixtures and process related supplies. Provide training and assistance to all assigned personnel. Obey all safety rules and stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition. Report all safety concerns immediately. Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.

WHO YOU ARE: You will relate comfortably with people across levels, functions, cultures, and geography. You will separate and combine work activities into efficient work flow. Lastly, as an Assembly Supervisor you will consider all relevant factors and use appropriate decision making criteria and principles.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: 

Associates Degree in Business or related field and three (3) years experience in a manufacturing environment OR a High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous stockroom experience  Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic digital literacy.  Must be able to work in an environment with prolonged standing, lifting 50 pounds, bending, scooping, and repetitive motions through out the entire shift Willing to work in an a manufacturing plant environment with elements including but not limited to noise, dust, dirt, oil, and grease Must be willing to wear PPE's including safety glasses, ear plugs and/or safety shoes May be required to work at different work stations as business needs require

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART: 

Bachelor's Degree in Business is preferred. Supervisory experience is desired. Lean manufacturing experience is preferred Oracle or Kronos experience preferred Experience with internal and/or external audits from customers and regulatory agencies.
