Following well-defined procedures and with normal supervision: check incoming material against accompanying documents to determine completeness and accuracy; enter transactions into computer system; kit and issue materials for Assembly; fill backorders; use digital weigh-count scale; perform cycle counts and physical inventories as assigned and keep stock and stockroom neat and orderly. Requires basic knowledge of stockroom procedure (MP-1000-021) and Costpoint inventory transactions.
Responsibilities:
+ Maintains inventory accuracy through careful counting and transaction processing.
+ Counts and verifies incoming materials and assemblies.
+ Issues materials and assembly kits as requested by Planning and Assembly.
+ Researches and resolves inventory record discrepancies.
+ Performs cycle counts and physical inventories and completes cycle count functions in Costpoint.
+ Follows company requirements for safety and PPE. Maintains a clean and organized area.
+ Licensed as a Meggitt forklift operator.
+ Uses company van for pick-ups and deliveries.
+ Performs other tasks as assigned.
+ Assists other departments when assigned.
+ Completes facility clean-up projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1-year related experience and/or training.
+ Experience in a computerized inventory environment desired, with hands-on computer experience. Forklift driver experience required.
+ General data entry and use of inquiry screens. Use of Microsoft Office for writing and receiving inter-office e-mail.
+ Computer terminal, calculator, telephone, copier, digital counting scale, counterbalance scale, forklift, company van, pallet jack, ladders, banding and wrapping equipment and some hand and power tools.
+ Job mostly requires basic math skills. Occasional need to calculate percentages.
+ Position involves ability to frequently or constantly exert up to 20 pounds of force and occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force to move objects.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. In this position the employee is regularly required to sit, and regularly required to stand, stoop, kneel, reach, crouch or crawl. Requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, bending, climbing, carrying and parts counting.
+ Extended hours and overtime are occasionally required to meet job requirements. Must wear steel-toed shoes and PPE in required work areas.
+ Requires someone who learns quickly and works well with normal direction. Valid driver's license required.
+ The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
+ The stockroom areas are not air conditioned.
+ Must have the ability to be flexible and deal with changing conditions as required. Shop environment contains hazardous materials, dust, moving equipment, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic equipment, and metal chips from cutting, milling, drilling and turning operations. Employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
+ Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California, New York, Washington. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.
The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education, and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $15.77 - $26.25 hourly.
