Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Stock Clerk to join the Lighting Sector Finelite Team in Union City, CA. The Stock Clerk is responsible for moving materials and goods from receiving to their final location into inventory in the Stockroom. This position is also responsible for ensuring the material in inventory is correctly and diligently transferred to jobs that are scheduled to be picked. This role requires excellent attention to detail and a mentality that focuses on the following of processes to ensure inventory integrity. You will need to have a basic understanding of Excel and the use of computers/portable scanners to be a good fit for this position.
The work schedule adjusts according to the production schedule with frequent changes, such as overtime and evening/weekend hours.
What Will You Do?
Safely uses hand trucks, carts, and forklifts (stand-up and sit-down) to move material to and from loading/unloading docks and within the factory storage area.Uses essential stock room tools, including RF scanners, Excel, and SmartSheets.Identify and report any damage or discrepancies.Tracks time both on start and completion using Excel.Locates stock and delivers items to their requestor while ensuring transfers/modifications happen in real-time.Keep the stockroom inventoried and clean by promptly throwing away trash and cardboard.Immediately report any shortages of material to lead or manager.Be accountable for parts pulled for jobs both physically and systematically.Be a team player by supporting other Stockroom departments as needed and as long as necessary.Ensure all work procedures and safety regulations are followed.Communicate in person and via email within and outside the Logistics Department, including outside groups. QualificationsRequired Skills
High school diploma plus 1 year of warehouse shipping, receiving, or stockroom experience; college a plus.Clean and valid California driver's license, Class C.Proven experience and ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as sit-down and stand-up forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks and stretch wrap/tape dispensers, RF scanners, tape machines, affix labels, etc.Valid forklift certification or previous forklift experience. Ability to handle the physical demands of the position: standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., extended work hours, and working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.Previous experience with Cycle Counting and performing Physical Inventory Audits a plus.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Must display a high level of attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Previous experience communicating within a company and with outside groups via email.Pay Rate: $23.69/hourly
