Sterile Processing Tech - Ambulatory Surgery *Days*

Sterile Processing Technician at Providence Mission Ambulatory Surgery Center in Mission Viejo, CA.  This is a full-time Day shift position that will work 10-hour shifts.

Under general supervision processes surgical instrumentation and supplies throughout the sterilization process using the appropriate personal protective equipment according to procedure. Maintains instruments in a clean, working condition, and stores according to instrument directory. Performs and interprets data from daily sterilizer biological monitoring, instrument sterilization and all associated documentation. Assist in training and orientation of new staff. Is proficient in required competencies.

Required Qualifications:

National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire or National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire Sterile processing experience

Preferred Qualification:

National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association OR National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution  Coursework/Training: Training in decontamination, processing, sterilization, quality control Flexible scope reprocessing.
