Sterile Processing Systems and Education Coordinator Responsibilities:
Responsible for orientation, education and training within the Sterile Processing Department. Job responsibilities include assessment, development and implementation of educational activities that teach and improve professional competencies for team members. These activities relate to training in regulatory agency requirements, annual safety and infection control updates and completion of orientation documentation and on-going training in all areas of S.P.D. Systems responsibilities include the administration of the S.P.D. computer module, S.P.M., working knowledge of the Operating Room scheduling system, Par Excellence and the current materials management systems for purchasing medical supplies.
Requirements:
High School or EquivalentHSPA (Health System Performance Assessment), CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician), CBSPDT (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Technicians)2 years of Experience Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Preferred - Hospital ExperienceBenefits:
