Job Description
Responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the hospital's Sterile Processing functions, including decontamination, assembly, and sterilization. Manage all reprocessing/distribution/pickup activities, and handle all hiring, training, and coordination of the work of Sterile Processing staff. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies for in-house sterilization of instruments and equipment.
ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of Sterile Processing functions, including decontamination, assembly, and sterilization.Manage reprocessing, distribution, and pickup activities.Hire, train, and coordinate Sterile Processing staff.Schedule staff, approve time, and manage corrective actions as needed.Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies for in-house sterilization of instruments and equipment.Essential SkillsMore than 5 years of Sterile Processing experience.3 years of leadership experience with direct reports.CRCST, CSPDT, or CST certification.Proficiency in sterile processing, surgical instrumentation, decontamination, cleanroom procedures, instrumentation, sterilization, and packaging.Additional Skills & Qualifications3 years of management or supervisory experience.Associates Degree preferred.Work Environment
Work hours are from 8am to 5pm during weekdays. The hospital is a 656-bed facility that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
