This position functions as the Budget Section Manager and is responsible for coordinating the department’s budget development process, supporting the department’s budget through the appropriations process, and managing implementation and monitoring of the department’s budget. This work includes oversight of restricted fund revenue projections, tracking and analyzing department spending, and reviewing legislative reports and fiscal impacts of proposed legislation. This position is also responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of various administrative budgets within the department. Through the course of this work, this position will develop strong working relationships with internal and external partners to deliver results. Prefer: Business administration, finance, accounting, economics, public policy administration, or related field. Experience Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level. Alternate Education and Experience Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
