Hire Resolve’s client is currently looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Standards Officer to join their mining team in the North-West region. As a Standards Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, as well as implementing best practices within the mining operations.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain compliance standards and procedures for the mining operations Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to standards Provide guidance and training to employees on standards and safe work practices Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices Collaborate with different departments to implement and enforce standards Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of standards and identify areas for improvement Coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

Grade 12 National Diploma in Safety Management Experience and knowledge in ISO 54001; ISO 14001; and ISO 9001 Extensive knowledge in MHSA, Labour Acts, and Mining industry legislatives 8 years’ experience as a Standards Officer withing the mining industry. 5 years’ experience in SHERQ Disciplines Valid Drivers’ License
