The Standardized Patient Trainer (SPT) provides educational and technical expertise in the development, implementation, and evaluation of human and mechanical simulation-based activities for Clinical Skills Assessment & Education (CSAE). The SPT works under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Clinical Skills and the Senior Director of the Standardized Patient (SP) Program with faculty, students, staff, and external affiliates. They will ensure the highest quality in simulation training activities and implement simulation curricula across the undergraduate and graduate medical education programs. The SPT will participate in state consortium meetings and activities. The SPT applies knowledge about curriculum, requirements, and educational activities to coordinate program operations at the CSAE. They will co-lead a variety of projects with the SP Program team, which may include leading training sessions, editing the program curriculum, scheduling SPs and students, tracking SP compliance, and completing the training curriculum.
