STAGE 1 - PROGRAM ASSISTANT II\n

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90056 - 100% Onsite\n

What We're Looking For:\n

We are looking for a Program Assistant II for our Stage 1 Department who will check eligibility of CalWorks parents. In this key role, you will serve as CalWORKs customer service liaison by assisting walk in clients. You will also be responsible for ensuring that provider and parent documents are accurate. In addition, you'll provide quality service to clients by providing. You will also maintain child care documents for clients, handle photocopying as needed and perform various other program duties as requested.\n
\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nCreate and maintain new parent or provider files, including filing required documentation. \nReview and ensure proper documentation is provided.\nPrepares forms, notices and correspondence regarding missing documentations, etc.\nEnter client information on internal database\nMake follow-up phone calls to providers regarding terminated parents\nSet up appointments for new enrollments\/re-certifications and\/or follow up on rescheduled appointments and no-shows\nSend letters to parents of documentation needed for re-certification\nMaintain private agency waiting list by updating, editing and verifying info.\nCheck for qualifying need, residence of families and child care needs within our service area\nSort and distribute incoming mail\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nEXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:\n\nHigh School graduate or equivalent, some college preferred\nAt least 2 years experience working with parents receiving subsidized child care or social support services preferred\nExperience with MS Excel and Word, preferred\nRequires excellent verbal and written communication skills. \nStrong customer service skills \nStrong organizational and administrative skills. \nAbility to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to complete required tasks in a timely manner. \nAbility to handle sensitive and confidential issues\/matters \nAbility to work variable days and hours and site locations as needed for special projects \nExcellent work ethic, including attendance and punctuality\n\n
