We are looking for you to join our team as a Staff Supply Chain Subcontract specialist on the Mission Systems Subcontract Services Team based out of either Linthicum, MD or Rolling Meadows, IL.

What You’ll get to Do:

The Mission Systems Subcontract Services Team (“SCS”) team specializes in the execution of complex terms and conditions agreements. The SCS Team is committed to enhancing GSC's negotiation and subject matter expertise through strategic and risk-based thinking and education.

As a senior member of the SCS team, the select candidate will be expected to be a subject matter expert in terms and conditions, Compliance, and negotiations. This individual will need to exhibit the ability to own and propel high impact projects and demonstrably show how they can advance the larger organization through their efforts. Candidate will identify strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.

The selected candidate will review, analyze, interpret, and draft strategic agreements. Position will require complex negotiations with our strategic and critical suppliers to establish favorable contractual positions and to settle disputes. This individual will own contractual management for the supplier and coordinate and collaborates with key stakeholders such as contracts, the law department, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users.

Selected candidate will be expected to serve in a team lead function, which will include ensuring new hires to the SCS team have a streamlined training experience and working collaboratively on team capacity.

This position requires the ability to balance and influence multiple competing priorities and individuals. A strong commitment and collaborative approach is paramount. Excellent organizational, compliance problem solving, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as project management, analytical, planning, presentation and human relations’ skills are required.  Candidate must have clear examples exhibiting experience in multi-tasking to a successful outcome and usage of above mentioned communication and project management skills.

Basic Qualifications for Staff Supply Chain Subcontract specialist:  

Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years or master’s degree with 10+ years or PhD with 8+ years of relevant experience in either supply chain, business management or closely relatedExperience in the analysis and negotiation of complex contractual terms and conditions, including FAR and DFARSExperience in the Aerospace and Defense BusinessExperience in change management – demonstrable showing of flexibility to changing customer requirements and market conditionsExperience drafting complex contractual documents, including, but not limited to, Overriding Agreements on Terms and Conditions, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Long Term Supply/Pricing Agreements.

Salary Range: $130,100.00 - $195,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
