ABOUT THE TEAM

We, the Engineering Platform and Developer Effectiveness team at Rubrik, make engineers more productive and engaged through training, technical documentation for common practices, SDLC measurement, identifying common friction and removing human toil from engineer's daily work.

As a member of this team, you will be focused on bootstrapping an engaging and hand-on engineering bootcamp to provide the best experience to new hires and enable them to contribute to production code very quickly. You will help to identify the high pain points during SDLC and come up with solutions and recommendations to address them.

ABOUT THE JOB

 

Responsibilities

Identify and solve the biggest pains that hamper developer effectiveness, new hire training bootcamps, and cycle time reduction. Contribute code to build tools and infrastructure, set an example for building scalable, testable code with as little future maintenance as possible to help other engineers get their work done faster, with better visibility and higher quality. Actively engage in design and architectural reviews for infrastructure and tools that enhance engineering productivity and efficiency You are expected to partner with our internal product manager to identify common solutions across engineering Provide recommendations to monitor, measure and improve all aspects of the SDLC at Rubrik. Learn and understand various products at Rubrik in order to engage with all engineering teams.

Minimum qualifications

10+ years of hands on software engineering experience Full stack engineering experience (React, API, backend) Experience with at least 2 programming languages in the following order - Javascript/Node.js, Python, Golang, C++, Java. Demonstrated history of learning new technologies quickly Experience in helping multiple teams improve their productivity, velocity and code quality Extensive experience with CI/CD and infrastructure (Jenkins 2.0, Github or equivalent) Experience with Kubernetes Experience with delivering cloud native products Hands experience with either AWS, GCP or Azure Outstanding written and verbal communication skills A passion for helping other people generally, and developers specifically

 

Preferred qualifications

Have conducted new hire or technical training sessions Experience working on cross-functional teams (product management, customer success, legal, finance, marketing, etc.) Have created tools & automation for yourself and other engineers Written engineering documentation to help other engineers.
