Kforce has a client seeking a fully remote Staff Software Engineer to join their team. Summary: The Staff Software Engineer will be interchangeable and will likely work on both applications. These applications are built with Java 17/21+ (heavy multithreading, optimizations, virtual threading etc.) springboot (they are beginning to move to quarkus), microservices, Cassandra, Kafka and GCP. They also use a mixture of Golang, Kubernetes, and SQL (SQL is a big plus, they aren't going to be strict on it). They are open to candidates with AWS experience instead of GCP, or a different No SQL instead of Cassandra, but they really need an effective leader. 50% of the Staff Software Engineer's time will be preparing the team for upcoming projects, assisting the team with user stories, mentoring and leading the team, production deployments etc. There will be some coding but most of it will be coaching.
