Staff Software Engineer
Vontier
**Purpose of Position**
This position plays the role of Staff Software Engineer in an Agile software development environment for Invenco by GVR software products. The main purpose of the role is to ensure timely delivery of the commitment. This is a 100% technical role, expected to design and develop high quality software products as part of scrum team.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Design and Develop software for Point of Sale – core and feature enhancement.
+ Port legacy code/applications and modules to new platform
+ Verify and validate platform against legacy performance and full operating conditions.
+ Experienced in conducting code reviews.
+ Deliver quality applications as per company standards.
+ Work as part of a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle
+ Conduct design and code review to ensure compliance with standards.
+ Be a quick learner of the internal framework.
**Background and Skill**
**Must Have**
+ Expert in C#, OOPS, Windows/Linux application
+ Expert in solid principles and fluent in common design patterns
+ Good Knowledge of SQL and Entity databases
+ Strong leadership and team management skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ **Bachelor's degree** in a related field ( **BE/BTech/MCA** )
**Good to Have**
+ Knowledge of HTML5, Python would be an added advantage.
+ Experience in Jira, Agile and Scrum, Program Increment.
+ Experience in Retail/POS/Payment domain is a plus.
+ Experience in Hardware dependent software applications
