Position Summary

As the Staff Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the techno-functional impact analysis, design & code construction for the software releases for the PCW Core Platforms & Technology. In this role, the right candidate will utilize; Java, Webservices, Database (Oracle/MySQL/MariaDB), Angular to work on multiple applications including, but not limited to, the Tier 1 systems for Retail Pharmacy. The Staff Software Development Engineer, will partner and collaborate with the development manager, business analysts, architects, quality assurance/testing, business partners, developers, and project managers to deliver Business change and innovation into our Java based business applications software.
 

Required Qualifications

7+ years experience as an IT professional5+ years experience in software development, design, and requirement analysis3+ years experience applying in-depth advanced knowledge (principles, theories and concepts) and skills of a specific/specialized technical area within the context of a similar industry or type of organization

Preferred Qualifications

Experience providing informal work direction to fewer senior colleagues/collaborating across departmentsExperience working independently and managing projects

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$142,140.00 - $284,280.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
