**_What Radiation Therapy contributes to Cardinal Health_** Radiation is a medical specialty that uses radiation to treat cancer and alleviate symptoms, and it can also be used for certain non-cancerous conditions.​ In this treatment, radiation beams are carefully directed at the cancer from a machine that moves around your body. Radiation Therapy ensures the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy to a patient's tumor using a linear accelerator machine. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts, using radiation therapy equipment, according to established practices and standards.
