Location/Division Specific InformationChemical Analysis Division (CAD) has innovative analytics, from Lab to Line to Field. The business serves a wide breath of industrial sectors including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, environmental, process minerals, mining, coal, cement and metals, as well as academic, government, safety, and security. This position will be based in our Oakwood Village site outside of Cleveland, Ohio
Discover Impactful Work:We seek a highly motivated individual to fill our Staff QA Engineer position. This person will be responsible for all technical aspects of the supply-chain and would include continuous improvement efforts of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter and be proficient in vacuum tube assembly, test and their applications as well as an expert in electron optics.
A day in the Life:Provide expertise to process improvement teams both internal and external to the company.Perform manufacturing process qualifications using standard statistical measuring techniques.Provide technical support to our procurement team for second source and cost reduction activities.Work effectively with suppliers, purchasing, production, engineering, and customer service as needed.Hands on work, particularly in the area of establishing root cause analysis and corrective action related to product or process defects are a must in this roleKeys to Success:EducationBachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) from accredited College, University, or equivalentExperienceMinimum of 7 years of experience with using standard quality tools such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa Diagrams, GEMBA walks, etc.American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent preferredKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesKnowledge and experience implementing the ISO 9001:2015 standardProven ability to implement new programs and processes with little directionPassionate about quality and process improvementAbility to implement 8D, or similar, approach for Corrective and Preventative ActionsExperience using quality tools mentioned above applied to the manufacturing of a dosimetry system preferredProficient in Microsoft ExcelAbility to write clear and cohesive work instructions to ensure consistency, quality, and safety in task executionPhysical Requirements / Work Environment Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds on regular basisWarehouse environment under varying temperaturesArm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of timeVisual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of timeAbility to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of timeBenefitsWe offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
