We are looking for you to join our team as a Staff Project Management based out of Salt Lake City, UT. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and successfully completing GSC projects within the allotted timeline and budget including managing to Earned Value budgets and estimates. This role demands strong leadership qualities, excellent communication, presentation and follow-up skills, in addition to the ability to manage complex projects to completion across various functional organizations.

What you'll get to do:

Manage and coordinate multiple projects to ensure they are completed on time and on budget up to and including developing and defining project goals, scope, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with functional and cross-functional team members, GSC management, and other stakeholders.Create comprehensive project plans to be shared with functional and cross-functional team members, GSC Management, and stakeholders.Manage tasks in accordance with Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and those of the company.Lead and coordinate project staffing and resources to ensure project milestones are met, budgetary targets are achieved, and quality standards are upheld.Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.Communicate proactively the status, issues, and risks involved in the project to all stakeholders.Manage budgeting and forecasting, ensuring projects are completed within the approved budget.Identify, minimize, and mitigate project risks throughout the project life cycle.Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.Challenge impediments to excellence and continuous improvement.Lead others through dynamic and fluid environments.

Job Description

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between GSC project management and planning, project team, and applicable functional management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Liaison Serves as prime consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate must have communication skills, presentation skills, experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams), and a general understanding of FAR/DFAR requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience; Master's degree in a Business related field with 10 years of experience; or 16 years of experience in lieu of degree.Able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.Leadership experience.Program/Project Management experienceRisk assessment and mitigation experience.Budget Management experience.Project plan creation and maintenance experienceEarned Value Management experience.

Project Management Professional (PMP) CertificationExperience as a Cost Account Manager within an EVMS-monitored programFAR/DFAR familiarity and experienceLean and Six Sigma Training and/or CertificationExperience leading and supporting proposal effortsExperience developing and implementing Tableau reporting with KPIsActive Clearance.

Salary Range: $122,100.00 - $183,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
