Staff Program Control Analyst
**Description** ARA's Special Operations Services Directorate (SOSD) in Pinehurst, NC is looking for a Staff Program Control Analyst with demonstrated experience in financial program management. The selected candidate will work within a dedicated program management team and will support leadership in coordinating complex management tasks with project teams, subcontractors, and clients. In this role, you will work with leadership throughout all stages of the project lifecycle to monitor and control project execution. You will interact with dynamic teams of operational, engineering, and science professionals working on exciting new technologies. **The selected candidate will work with leadership to:** + Perform budget analysis and cost projections + Review subcontractor invoices and prepare invoices for clients + Develop cost estimates and ROMs for technical work + Assist PMs in preparing, monitoring, and closing-out subcontracts + Prepare monthly cost incurred reports + Improve business processes as they related to project execution activities **Selected candidates must be U.S. Citizens and may be subject to a government security investigation. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.** At a minimum, we are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with two to four years of related work experience. Candidates must be self-motivated with the ability to work proactively and achieve results without close supervision. Additionally, candidates must be organized individuals with excellent attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and the capacity to change priorities quickly and work effectively under deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are a must, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff located both here in Pinehurst and at other ARA facilities located around the country. **Candidates meeting some or all of the following requirements will be given extra consideration:** + More than ten years of related experience in project finance, management, and budget analysis with the DoD or other Federal Department or Agency + Demonstrated knowledge/experience in financial management of contracts executing multiple, simultaneous projects with combined/complex budgets + Demonstrated expertise in working with PMs and subcontractors to develop cost proposals + Active security clearance **If you’re interested, here’s what year one will entail for you:** + Work with project managers and/or clients to prepare budgets, spending plans, deliverable schedules, and man-hour estimates + Coordinate with other contract and subcontract personnel to ensure budgets and status reports comply with internal ARA standards and contract requirements + Review subcontractor invoices, track the status, and maintain a schedule of anticipated payments + Assist with developing financial program and project status reports and other documentation as needed + Extract accounting and project cost data from CostPoint using Cognos queries and standard database reports + Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost tracking of all contracts and staffing/cost projection spreadsheets + Assist in creating subcontracts, consulting agreements, contract mods, and purchase orders for projects, using corporate templates, and following established company guidelines + Work with PMs to execute requests to initiate purchases and travel approval requests + Assist with creating annual cost and staffing projections and providing quarterly updates for sector management **Who is ARA?** Do you want to work for a purpose?
