Staff Product Manager, Ads & Monetization

Ibotta is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Product Manager, Ads and Monetization to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. Leading Ads and Monetization for Ibotta’s Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) business, this is a critical role that will drive the product strategy, development, and growth of our Consumer Ads business and develop new monetization strategies. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of product leadership, a deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape, and a passion for building products that deliver value to both brands and consumers. 

 

Leveraging industry knowledge, heuristics, and data, you will create innovative solutions to match Ibotta Savers with relevant ads and deliver high-performance results to our brand partners. You will oversee the full stack experience for Ads, ensuring alignment between product offerings and business goals while upholding our vision for client self-service. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to identify new opportunities, define and champion a product roadmap, and ensure its successful execution.

 

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

 

What you will be doing:

Define and execute the product strategy for Ibotta Ads, including product vision, roadmap, and goals, in collaboration with cross-functional leaders and peers. Ibotta’s next Ad play should come from you.

Explore new monetization opportunities and partnerships to drive incremental revenue 

Lead product development of an Ad Server and develop new and existing ad products and features from ideation to launch.

Create a compelling yet simple Ad experience for Ibotta Savers, ensuring that ads are relevant, engaging, and non-intrusive.

Partner with Sales and Marketing to drive revenue growth for Ibotta Ads, enabling effective pricing strategies, inventory management, and sales GTM.

Work closely with the other Consumer squads to drive a joint organic product strategy that adds value to consumers, not just advertisers.

Lead a team of product managers, engineers, and designers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Communicate your strategy upward and outward internally to ensure you have the comprehension, alignment, and support you need to be successful.

Model best-in-class, customer-focused product development processes, leading by example and learning from others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Demonstrate top-tier product management practices that others seek to emulate.

Communicate with company executive leadership, ensuring they have clarity and confidence in our Ibotta Ads strategy.

Stay up to date with modern advertising technology and trends, and look for opportunities to incorporate them into Ibotta Ads’ product strategy.

What we are looking for:

6+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 3 years as an Ads Product Manager (or equivalent)

3+ years of consumer-facing product management.

BA/BS in Management/Economics/Marketing, CS/Engineering, or a related field is required

Hands-on experience with Ad technology platforms 

Exemplary communication skills with all levels and disciplines of the business, from your squad(s) all the way to company executives

Ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment and dynamic environment 

Swift, high-quality decision-making, informed by insights, but not paralyzed when faced with a lack of data

Confidence in being able to say no to good ideas and ruthlessly prioritize product initiatives in alignment with strategic focus and goals

Technical understanding - you don’t need to be able to write code. Still, you need to be able to discuss technical concepts with your engineering and architecture teams and communicate technical concepts effectively to business leaders.

 

Experience with any of the following a plus:

Vetting and replacing new technologies with minimal to zero disruption to the business

Moderately growing Ads within a mature product lifecycle phase.

Building API products that support internal tooling and operations.

Exemplary communication skills with all levels and disciplines of the business, from your squad(s) all the way to company executives

Ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment and dynamic environment 

Swift, high-quality decision-making, informed by insights, but not paralyzed when faced with a lack of data

Additional Details:

This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, bagel Thursdays, snacks and occasional meals. 

Base compensation range: $140,000 - $170,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base salary. Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
