We aim to make the world a better, more connected place. CNN is looking for a Staff Product Designer for New Businesses. The New Businesses team will be leading the creation of new, standalone products at CNN, and focused on the creation of separate, non-news experiences that can help enrich our users’ lives and drive the subscription business. The ideal candidate will be a full-stack, innovative and strategic Product Designer, with extensive experience designing and delivering cross-platform, direct-to-consumer products in a fast-paced environment. **Your Role Accountabilities...** + You will be an integral part of CNN’s New Businesses team, creating non-news and standalone products that will drive CNN’s subscription business. + You will partner closely with product, engineering, and senior leadership to synthesize and translate strategic initiatives into best-in-class product experiences. + You will be embedded in a strategic, cross functional team that will conduct rapid prototyping to iteratively test and validate product features and proof of concepts. + You will collaborate with product and user research on plans for testing and research. + You must be innovative and committed to pushing the boundaries of the CNN business. + You must be a self-starter and able to manage your projects and deadlines, whilst also being able to pivot as needed. **Qualifications & Experience...** + 8+ years' work experience as a cross-platform product designer, with at least 4 years working on native mobile experiences. Experience in media companies is a plus. + Mastery of Figma and prototyping. + Impeccable visual and interaction design skills. + Expertise in creating and modifying components and utilizing a mature design system kit. + Mastery of best UX design practices, including usability principles, user research methodologies and testing techniques. + Solid understanding of mobile and web technologies. + Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. + Extensive experience in program management tools such as Confluence and Jira. + Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience. **How We Get Things Done…** This last bit is probably the most important! Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $103,600.00 - $192,400.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
