Associates are eligible to apply for a transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Probationary period is four (4) months for full-time employees, and six (6) months for part-time employees.

 

 

Registered Nurse – OB/GYN

 

Reporting to the Site Administrator/Nurse Manager/Senior Leadership, Registered Nurse contributes to the actualization of the philosophy and critical success factors of Women's Health OBGYN.

 

Responsibilities:

Committed to maintaining the standards of the practice of nursing and is responsible for the coordination, implementation and delivery of care to Women's Health OBGYN patient population Participate in performance improvement/research activities, maintains professional practice standards, clinical expertise, and demonstrates leadership skills Responsible for the coordination of ancillary clinical support associates (LPN/PCT) Ensure TJC sweeps are performed routinely and will oversee HLD/Sterilization completion by PCT/LPN associates Systematically assesses the health care of patients/families and responses to care rendered Demonstrates critical thinking skills to problem solve and initiate clinical decision making Develops, coordinates and provides direct care for specific patient assignment reflective of current and changing status of the patient

 

Qualifications:

New York State License for a Registered Professional Nurse and current registration of valid permit to practice in New York State as an RN BSN Degree Additional education required by specialty areas Effective English communication skills, both written, oral and interpersonal skills Ability to use basis data entry and retrieval system A minimum 3-5 years experience in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health
