Communicates with internal stakeholders on decisions that impact their team. + Conduct design reviews, maintain/update design documents and address review feedback. Also contribute and support reviews held by peers on related projects and provide feedback. + Assess areas impacted by new feature requests and determine approach to accommodate new capabilities. + Contribute to project planning by providing effort estimates for implementing new features/ functionality. + Continually improve the release processes to increase its reliability, capabilities, and speed. + Provides technical feasibility assessment on emerging user needs and product requirements, leads proof-of-concepts and proposes optimal design solutions compatible with the software system architecture. + Leads root cause investigations on high-complexity or high-severity issues. + Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements. + Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering + 8-10 years of related experience, or master’s degree with 7+ years of related experience. + Strong hands-on programming/coding knowledge of Java. + Experience with visual modeling, graphical user interfaces, multi-threading, formal software development methodologies, and source code management. + Strong knowledge with continuous integration & continuous development + Strong verbal and written communications. **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field + Medical device product development knowledge. + Ability to independently learn/explore existing system functionality. + Experience with cross platform programming languages like React Native, Xamarin, Kotlin is a plus. + Progressively more responsible work experience in a range of software engineering disciplines using a variety of programming methods. + Intermediate to moderate understanding of Linux Operating system. + Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought. + Strong analytical & problem-solving skills. Ability to debug and arrive at solutions. + Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
