The Role:Join Micron Technology as a Principal Datapath Design Engineer in the Non-Volatile Engineering Group in San Jose, CA! This is an outstanding opportunity to advance how the world uses information, contributing to groundbreaking memory and storage solutions. Your expertise will be pivotal in crafting next-generation products, working alongside a world-class team committed to innovation and excellence.
Responsibilities:Design, analyze, and optimize digital and analog circuits for new memory products, ensuring flawless performance, power, and area (PPA) optimization.
Define architecture and chip plans, including placement and routing optimization, to achieve ambitious goals.
Design high-speed Datapath circuits at the block level, model parasitics, and supervise layout to ensure world-class performance.
Perform circuit simulations using industry-standard simulators to validate functionality and performance.
Collaborate with experts and collaborators to document and review the final design results, ensuring designs operate within safe reliability operating ranges.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications & Skills:Proven knowledge of high-speed circuit performance, power, and area optimization.
Experience with NVDDR interfaces, including Single-ended Rx, Tx, SerDeS, Equalizer, and ZQ.
Familiarity with high-speed interfaces for NAND applications such as NV-DDR4/LPDDR5/LPDDR6 and host interfaces like UFSx/PCI Express GenX.
Understanding of CMOS process and BSIM model.
Hands-on experience in RTL writing and synthesis.
Outstanding ability to collaborate with various teams to define design specifications, validate signal integrity, and ensure alignment with package design requirements.
Education and Experience:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Datapath design engineering or a related role.
Demonstrated success in leading design feasibility studies and exploring innovative solutions to improve product competitiveness.
Experience in mentoring and providing technical training to team members.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$145,000.00 - $295,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
