Staff Commissioning Engineer - Aviation & Federal (Saint Louis)

The Staff Commissioning Engineer will perform commissioning, retro-commissioning, and energy related assignments for complex buildings and systems in the mission critical, healthcare, laboratory, aviation, manufacturing, higher education, commercial building, water waste water and onsite energy markets. The Staff Commissioning Engineer will work with the project team throughout the commissioning process, adapting commissioning plans to budget constrains, design factors or client needs.
Prepare commissioning plans, specifications and checklists based on Burns McDonnell standards.Review design, equipment submittals, operation and maintenance manual, start-up reports, checklists, and training programs for commissioning plans.Assist with training operation and maintenance personnel to review operating modes, sequence of operations and specifics of equipment, operations, and maintenance of commissioning plans.Document commissioning results and performance shortfalls. Collaborate with owner, operation and maintenance, design and construction personnel in recommending remedial measures.Plan, schedule, and perform work for small to mid-size projects and support project teams for large projects and programs.Perform site visits to coordinate commissioning, evaluate new and existing systems, witness equipment start-up and testing. Coordinate operation and maintenance training.Assist with the development and refinement of methodologies, tools, and standards in support of an evolving commissioning practice.Participate in meetings with owner, operation and maintenance, design and construction personnel to understand project goals and schedule to ensure commissioning is properly coordinated.All other duties as assigned
