Staff Civil/Structural Engineer

We approach problems with creativity and innovation. The Seattle, WA office is seeking a Staff Civil/Structural Engineer to join our growing practice. We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team. **Job Responsibilities:** + Apply professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of engineers and scientists while under the supervision of senior engineering personnel. + Assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents and reports with input and guidance from senior engineers in accordance with internal drafting procedures and guidelines. + Develop engineering recommendations and write technical reports. + Perform design calculations for hydraulic structures including spillways, dam outlet works, diversion and check structures, measurement flumes, and other various raw water infrastructure. + Assist in construction site observation and field engineering services. Ability to travel and work in the field is required. + Perform analysis and design of steel and concrete structures + Prepare design drawings, reports, and technical specifications **Required Skills/Experience:** + Bachelor's degree focused in civil engineering, from an ABET-accredited institution. + 0-2 years of design-oriented consulting engineering. + Passing result on F.E. Exam. + Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D. + Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. + Analysis and design of steel and concrete structures + Preparation of calculations, drawings, reports, etc. + Perform/adopt computer-aided structural analysis + Become proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and Bluebeam + Acquire the understanding of ASCE, AISC, and ACI codes + Learn to negotiate construction sites and practice site safety **Other Requirements:** + Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check. + Ability to pass a pre-employment screening. The compensation range for an Entry-Level Civil Engineer is between $57,200 to $86,000. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors.
