Position Information:
The Decedent Care Chaplain assesses and responds to the spiritual and emotional needs of patients their families and team members related to decedent care.  Acts as a liaison with clinicians hospital services Medical examiners deceased patient's family autopsy services donor services and funeral homes to facilitate transition of the decedent from the hospital in a patient-centric compassionate way and in accordance with legal state federal and regulatory guidelines related to decedent care.  Documents in EPIC and decedent care related programs / databases in accordance with organization policies and regulatory and licensure requirements.  Demonstrates teamwork and flexibility with schedule to ensure effective departmental operations.

Experience Requirements:
1 Year Clinical - Spiritual Care And/Or 1 Year Healthcare - Acute Care Preferred

Education Required:
Master's Degree Divinity Or  Theology Or  Related Field Required - Within 24 Months of Hire

Hours of Work:
M-F, 8-10-12 hour shifts, primarily M & F

Weekend Requirements:
As Needed
