Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a Staff Action Officer to join their team! This role involves planning, coordinating, and developing comprehensive reports to improve the overall development and execution of organizational programs. The ideal candidate will conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses, provide management with information regarding the improvement of initiatives and strategic plans, and analyze the implementation of new policies and allocation of needed resources. This position oversees the development of facilities, systems, and budget analysis for the program.

Plan for and coordinate the development of comprehensive reports to improve the overall development and execution of organizational programsConduct quantitative and qualitative analyses and program evaluationProvide management with information regarding the improvement of initiatives and strategic plansAnalyze the implementation of new policies and allocation of needed resourcesOversee the development of facilities, systems, and budget analysis for the programPlan, coordinate, and develop comprehensive reportsEdit and write technical articles, publications, and presentations to communicate research findings, technical developments, and pragmatic information to a wide range of external audiences

Requirements

10+ years of experience with DoD Acquisition processes and policies supporting the development of recommended and required program documentation according to DoD regulations and directivesExperience with the DoD Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) processExperience working as an advisor to upper-level management, including GS-15 and aboveExperience in planning, coordinating, and developing comprehensive reports with minimal oversight to improve the overall development and execution of organizational programsExperience with the implementation of new policies and strategies, including the allocation of needed resources and oversight of the development of facilities, systems, and strategic plans for programsAbility to edit and write technical articles, publications, and presentationsExperience with developing correspondence, running meetings, managing issues and action items, analyzing information for trends, and consolidating information for senior-level awareness and decision-makingExperience with the DoD Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) processExperience with the development of JCIDS capability requirements documentation and artifacts, including DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) viewsExperience with managing program contract transitions and associated transition risksExperience with Information Technology systemsAbility to work independentlyPossession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Requirements

A Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Certification in the area of acquisition, financial management, or engineering is a plus

Education/Certification Requirements

A Bachelor's degree is required for this role

Clearance Requirements
