Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Sterling, Virginia. In this role, you will be expected to perform a variety of accounting tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Manage all bookkeeping tasks and ensure the maintenance of accurate books and ledgers • Oversee the preparation and analysis of expense reports and budgets • Manage cash flows and inventory movements • Oversee the processes for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable • Review bank deposits and reconcile bank and credit accounts • Maintain accurate General Ledger accounts • Drive the month-end and year-end close process and generate the required reports • Create and present monthly financial reports • Produce error-free accounting reports and spreadsheets • Collaborate with the accounting team and contribute to the department’s goal-setting process • Handle payroll and benefits processing • Set up and manage accounting systems • Report to the Controller to enhance financial processes • Undertake special projects as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in Bank Reconciliations • Strong understanding of General Ledger • Ability to prepare Journal Entries • Familiarity with Month End Close procedures • Knowledge of QuickBooks software • Ability to Prepare Financial Reports • Experience with Monthly Financial Reports • Skilled in Account Reconciliation • Experience with ADP - Payroll • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
