Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in FLOYDS KNOBS, Indiana. This role plays an integral part in the real estate, construction, and spirits industries. The Staff Accountant will be expected to handle a variety of financial data and present it in a clear and useful manner, maintain internal controls and accounting procedures in line with GAAP, and assist in the closing processes. Responsibilities: • Carry out accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks. • Prepare and reconcile journal entries. • Conduct monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting. • Support the month-, quarter-, and year-end closing processes. • Aid in the development and upkeep of internal controls and accounting procedures following GAAP. • Manage the fixed-asset ledger, including depreciation and reconciliation. • Analyze and coordinate a range of financial data and report it in a clear and useful manner. • Execute general accounting duties, including balance sheet reconciliations, ad hoc reporting, and other assigned tasks. Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processing is required. • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processing is required. • Capability to perform bank reconciliations is essential. • Experience in handling journal entries is mandatory. • Proficiency in conducting month end close activities is necessary. • Familiarity with Sage 300 accounting software is a prerequisite.
