Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Irvine, California. As a Staff Accountant, you will be working in the software industry, where you will be tasked with a variety of financial duties such as processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also be responsible for monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications • Maintain precise records of customer credit • Assist with the preparation of audit materials and support the filing of business property tax • Prepare lender compliance reports and calculate interest expenses • Reconcile intercompany accounts and manage tax workpapers/returns • Maintain and record entries related to fixed asset and prepaid schedules • Review Accounts Payable invoice coding and maintain payroll worksheets • Record payroll journal entries and prepare month-end close & reconciliations • Use Yardi and Excel software for various accounting tasks • Oversee the general ledger and prepare journal entries Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar. • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required. • Must have experience in performing Bank Reconciliations. • Familiarity with General Ledger management. • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain Journal Entries. • Experience in Month End Close procedures. • Knowledge of Yardi software is a plus. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.
