Staff Accountant
Description We are offering contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will be expected to support essential accounting functions within our established team. This role is instrumental in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization. Responsibilities: • Handle the account reconciliation process to ensure accuracy and consistency in our financial records. • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports for periodic reviews and audits. • Facilitate journal entries to keep our financial records up-to-date and accurate. • Assist in the month-end and quarter-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. • Manage a variety of balance sheet accounts, ranging from simple to complex tasks, to ensure financial accuracy and transparency. • Use Microsoft Excel and other accounting systems effectively to carry out tasks. • Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes to ensure timely payment of invoices and collection of revenue. • Perform bank reconciliations to verify our financial records match with bank statements. • Utilize Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and other financial systems to manage and process financial information. • Ensure the General Ledger is accurate and up-to-date by regularly reviewing and correcting any discrepancies. Requirements • Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Demonstrable ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently • Proficiency in maintaining and managing the General Ledger • Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries • Familiarity with Month End Close procedures and processes • Expertise in using Oracle financial software for accounting tasks • Proficiency in QuickBooks software for day-to-day accounting duties • Experience with SAP software for financial management • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
